School Perfomance

We are proud of the improvements that we have made in the rate of pupil progress at The Marist in the last two years.

Last year’s Year 6 pupils saw their rate of progress (year on year) in maths more than double in their final two years at the School and increase in both reading and writing. Their results in the Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation test showed a very positive improvement on the previous year’s results.

Across the entire school the rates of progress in maths, reading and writing have increased significantly since our last Ofsted inspection in 2013.

Attainment across the school remains high and we have continued our good performance in the Phonics screening tests in Year 1 and Year 2, consolidated our very high results in Year 2 SATs and improved our performance in Year 6 SATs. Next year we expect even more…

Details of our performance in the national SATs tests is set out below. Further information and comparisons can be found in the School Performance Tables on the DfE website:

Expected progress KS1 to KS2

The Year 6 cohort in summer 2014 made excellent progress from Year 4 and, as the whole school has improved, the impact can be seen in the table below by comparing the previous year’s data. We expect to be exceeding all national levels at the end of 2014-15.
