The Extended School means what The Marist offers over and above the learning time during the school day. Within this are all our co-curricular opportunities – clubs and societies for our children to join which enhance and expand our curriculum – not as extras but alongside our curriculum.
We offer a wide range of co-curricular clubs during the school week and run a very successful Breakfast Club and After School club which ensure that we can offer wrap around quality child care where it is needed from 7.45am in the morning to 6.00pm at night.
Open from 7.45 every morning of term (apart from INSET days), the Breakfast Club offers a healthy and filling breakfast and plenty of activities to set your child up for the day at school. The Club is run by our own staff including a sports coach to help blow off the cobwebs for those who want it!
After School Club
Open from 3.15 to 6.00pm every day of term (apart from INSET days and the last day of term when school closes at 1.15pm), the After School Club offers a happy and relaxed place to chill out at the end of the school day. We try to make it more like home than school but with a wide variety of activities available to all both inside and out. There are healthy snacks and it’s lots of fun! The Club is run by our own staff including a sports coach.
All of our teachers at The Marist (including the Head!) run clubs for the children either at lunchtime or after school (normally ending at 4.30). Membership of these clubs is normally completely free of charge. After school clubs require parental consent and letters for this purpose will be sent home with your child where relevant.
In addition, we have a number of external club providers who come in to school to run high quality activities. There is usually a charge for membership of these clubs. Forms for joining these clubs and payment details can be obtained from the School Office or directly from the provider in come cases (see links below).
A list of all the clubs running for Summer Term 2017 - also available from school office.
After School Activities Forms:
There are various providers of holiday activities and clubs for children during the School holidays. We have included links below to a number of providers who have contacted the school, we are simply acting as a provider of information in giving these links – you should ensure that you are happy with these providers before making any booking:
